Extended Family Sessions.  They can be chaos with so many kids, a nightmare getting everyone together at the same time in the same place, expensive and there's sometimes a lot of complaining before hand.  BUT it can be fun chaos as the kids play together and fool around with the rest of the family, you can hang out with everyone and have dinner afterwards, worth every penny, and once everyone realizes how relaxed and easy it is, the complaining ends pretty quickly!

I come from a large family - pictured above. My mom always made sure we got family pictures done on a regular basis when we were growing up, and now that we're all grown with our own families, those pictures continue. And while it's a job getting that many people together - especially kids! - it's worth it every time.

People change. Kids grow. And to be honest, we don't know how long people are going to be around. Having pictures with the people you love is not only nice to have, but I really think it's so important!  Doing extended sessions makes me excited. I know these families are going to have beautiful, sentimental pictures to hang on their walls.  Pictures that show who they are as a group, and pictures that show the relationships between them. Grandparents with their grandchildren - always a favourite!!! Grown siblings together, parents with their own kids, moms with their daughters, fathers with their sons. Sometimes even three generation pictures, which I LOVE!

Family is everything. And for me, having pictures with the people you love is a pretty big deal. Let me capture you all together, and we'll have a great time!  It goes MUCH smoother than you think, each family gets their own family pictures (BONUS!) and you'll never regret having them.  Make sure to book well in advance so that you can find a date that works for everyone, and you have time to prepare. Give me a shout and let's get you booked!

Rachel Kowalenko - Hi Sonja! I do have some availability this summer! If you could shoot me an email through the website - just fill out the contact section - I'll send you some information and we can chat!
Sonja - Hi Rachel

My fiancé and I are hoping to get married this summer in Calgary. I know this is super short notice but we are planning on a very small, intimate ceremony and dinner at a restaurant downtown (30-40 people). We are also flexible with day of the week but are aiming for a Sunday afternoon/evening. Do you have any availability in July or August? I’m also wondering about what kind of package options you have and if you would do a half day (4 hours or so). If you’re available I would love to meet and discuss options. Thanks!
