Patrick and Joan were set to be married August 1st, 2020. And then covid hit. And while that has been really complicated for a lot of couples, and they're having to cut down numbers and change where their wedding will be, it was so much more for these two! Patrick currently lives in the States, and Joan is supposed to be joining him. Because of the rules for crossing the border, Patrick could only come back at certain times. And there comes in the wedding that was planned in 2 weeks. Patrick came home, spent his 14 days in quarantine, finishing the day before the wedding! Everybody went into action and put together the perfect wedding:
You know what I love? When siblings are part of the wedding party. Your friends are amazing, and absolutely you want them to be there for your big day. But in the end, a lot of times friends change. Siblings do not. Cousins do not. Joan had her brother and sister in her party, and Patrick had his sister in his. So great!
Aaaaand then we got rained out. And these two just rolled with the punches. They took everything with so much grace, and so much joy, and it made it such a pleasure to be a part of it all! Reception plans had to be changed because of the date change and this whole crazy situation in general, and so we ended up at The Glencoe Club. Oh man, such an amazing place! Their service was incredible, as was the food! It all worked out perfectly!
Patrick and Joan, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your incredible day!!!
Covid-19 has changed a lot, including a whole lot of weddings this year! Some are doing a quick ceremony in their house, some are postponing til all this is over, and some are changing it up a bit! Megan and Caleb decided to work with what was allowed, and got married with a smaller amount of guests in Megan's parents backyard. It was perfect! I've decided that small, intimate weddings like this are my favourite.
Megan's Grandma (also my Grandma!) lives in a home and obviously couldn't come to the wedding, but we were allowed to stop by for a quick, distanced visit. It was so worth it!
Recognize a couple of these girls? I also photographed Megans sisters, Ali and Jaimie's weddings! LAST YEAR. Their parents will now sleep for the next month straight.
Any wedding that involves a food truck is an automatic win in my books. Fact.
Congratulations, Megan and Caleb!!!
Baby Linden is here! Graeme & Esther are naturals, and their little babe is the sweetest!
